Basketball 

The Vulcan women’s basketball team won Friday, Nov. 11, against West Liberty with a score of 70-67 California. Senior Ciaira Loyd scored a game-high 28 points during the game. The Vulcans then lost Saturday, Nov. 12, against Charleston with a score of 80-73 Charleston. The Vulcans play again this Friday, Nov. 18, against Bowie State starting at 4 p.m. 

The Vulcans men’s basketball team won Friday, Nov. 11, against Wheeling with a score of 82-73 California. The Vulcans then lost Saturday, Nov. 12, against West Liberty with a score of 94-85 West Liberty. The team also played Monday, Nov. 15, against Lincoln with a score of 81-76 Lincoln. The team returns Monday, Nov. 21, at Franklin Pierce starting at noon. 

Football

The Vulcan football team won this past Saturday, Nov. 12, against East Stroudsburg with a score of 31-7 California. This game marked the end of the 2022 season for the Vulcans. The team finished the season with a 6-5 overall record. 

Cross Country 

The Vulcan men’s cross-country team competes at the NCAA Regional Championships in Mansfield starting at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19. 

The Vulcan women’s cross-country team competes at the NCAA Regional Championships in Mansfield starting at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19. 

Swimming 

The Vulcan swimming team competes this weekend, Nov. 18-20, at Liberty TYR Invitational in Lynchburg, VA.
