The Princeton Review has ranked California University of Pennsylvania as one of the best universities in the northeastern United States.

The nationally known education services company lists Cal U in its “Best in the Northeast” section of its website resources, 2022 Best Colleges: Region By Region.

It is the 17th consecutive year that Cal U has achieved the distinction.

The Princeton Review selects schools based on academic excellence, information submitted by each school and reports from students about their campus experiences.

“This ranking speaks to the consistently high quality of Cal U’s academic programs and student support services,” said Dr. Daniel Engstrom, Cal U’s interim provost and vice president for Academic Affairs.

“It reflects the expertise of our faculty and the caring staff who support our students across their learning process.”

Cal U students mentioned strong programs in education, criminal justice and biology, among other disciplines, and professors who are “very passionate and well-versed in their given area.”

Notably, students said, there are “plenty of resources around campus … whether you need an essay revised or tutoring,” a recognition of services provided through Cal U’s Office of Academic Success.

For more than 25 years, Princeton Review has been recognized as a leader in tutoring, test prep and college admission services. Its website allows students to register and explore information about colleges and universities nationwide.
