PennWest California’s Student Government Association Club and Organization Committee has released the 2025/2026 budget allocation.
Leigh Ann Lincoln, chief financial officer for Student Association, said the 2025/2026 SGA Club and Org budget process started at the beginning of the Spring semester, when eligible clubs submitted budgets to SAI in February. The Club and Org Committee invited every club who submitted a budget to various meetings throughout March so they could hear first hand from the club members and ask questions, she said.
The Student Government Association Club and Organization Committee met on Wednesday for 7 hours to distribute $500,000 across 65 clubs and organizations that submitted a budget request for 2025/2026.
“Each club was thoroughly discussed and the committee members had excellent notes from the club budget presentations to assist them in their final decisions,” said Lincoln. She added that fundraising by clubs was a large consideration in allocation amounts too.
SGA will take public comment at its weekly meeting at the Vulcan Theatre on Monday, April 7, at 4:15pm, prior to voting on the budget as presented by the committee.
“If you have questions or concerns, that is your opportunity to express them,” said Lincoln.
