On Thursday, March 20th, PennWest University will host its 3rd annual Giving Day across all campuses, which is dedicated to raising awareness for the necessary funding for student scholarships, campus programs, and athletics through a 24-hour, mass-fundraising campaign.
Among the various efforts made to encourage students, alumni, and others, one particular fundraiser for the California Campus sticks out its bushy tail. Efforts include donation matching for participating scholarships, which can be found on their website: https://www.givecampus.com/schools/PennWestUniversityCalifornia/2025-california-giving-day/?a=9271269#about
If you are unable to make a monetary contribution, then spread the word on social media by including your post with #Californiagivingday.
Introduced three years prior, Giving Day was proposed as an initiative to unite the campus community for the common cause of maintaining vital programs that promote growth and success in all facets of the community. Giving Day offers everyone across all campuses the chance to donate to and support an area of their respective campus that makes a direct impact on all portions of the university. If naming a squirrel is something that interests you or if you want to make a monetary donation, then get involved and spread the word!
